
- YARN: 200 yards of worsted weight wool yarn, although this is a great stashbuster to use up all kinds. (Recommended: Patons Classic Wool or / Love This Wool!) -Cuffs - US Size 9 needles. Straight or circular will work as pattern is knit flat and seamed. - 2 removable stitch markers (Or small safety pins) - yarn needle
ABBREVIATIONS:
K: knit P: purl YO: yarn over. K2tog: knit 2 stitches together
MATERIALS:
SIZE: CUFFS fit calves 9 inch - 14.5 inch circumference. Cuffs measured flat before seaming: 6-3/4 inches x 8 inches HAND-WARMERS: Measured flat before seaming 9 inches x 6.5 inches GAUGE: Garter Stitch: 4 stitches & 6 rows per inch. This pattern is very forgiving as it stretches to fit most sizes, but if you are a particularly tight or loose knitter, you may need to go up or down a needle size.
LACE BOOT CUFF
1. Cast-on 24 stitches. 2. Knit 4 rows in garter stitch. (Knit all stitches both front and back, turning at the end of a row.)
3.LACE PANEL:
Row 1: (k2tog, yo) 11 times. Knit last 2 stitches. Row 2: Knit all stitches across. Row 3: Knit 1, (yo, k2tog) 11 times, knit last stitch. Row 4: Knit across. 4. Knit 6 rows. 5. Repeat steps #3 & 4 five more times. (Ilf you have larger or smaller calves you can knit one more or less repeat.) 6. Bind-off all stitches. Cut the yarn so that you have an 18 inch tail and pull the yarn through the last stich. 7. Fold your work so that the beginning row and the ending row meet, forming a tube. Using the long tail, sew it closed and weave in the end.


SEEDED HANDWARMERS
1. Cast on 25. 2. \*Knit 2, Purl 2 repeat from \* across. Knit last stitch. 3. Purl 1, \*Knit 2, Purl 2 repeat from \* across. 4. Repeat steps #2 & 3 for a total of 10 rows. 5. Seed Stitch: Knit 1, Purl 1 across. Ending with Knit stitch. 6. Turn work and repeat #5 for a total of 40 rows. 7. Repeat steps #2 & 3 for 6 rows. 8. Bind-Off by knit 2, purl 2 rib pattern. 9. Cut yarn leaving a 24 inch tail and pull through last stitch. 10. Fold in half lengthwise and place stitch markers around the spot you want your thumb to go. I place markers approximately 2 inches and 3.5 inches from ending row leaving a 1.5 hole but it's best to try it on to see what fits best. 11. Seam closed using mattress stitch (http://www.knittinghelp.com/video/play/mattress-stitch) down to first marker. Run yarn along one side of the knitting through stitches down to marker #2 and then continue seaming to cast-on row.Weave in ends.
