BAG
With the Strawberry skein of Lion Brand Organic Cotton yarn: CO 72sts place marker, and join to work in the round ( You can CO any number of sts for this bag. The 72sts gave me a bag width of 10.5" ) Continuing with the strawberry yarn work each skein of yarn for two rounds before switching to the next color. Once the bag reaches 12" or desired length BO ending in the strawberry colored yarn. Seam together bag at the CO edge.
FINISHING THE BAG:
ATTACHING THE HANDLES
This wildepend slightly on what type of handles you buy, but if they are wooden circular handles, or even purse straps with rings (like the ones on my bag) you wil need to whip stitch the handle to the bag at the BO edge.
LINING THE BAG
Again, there are probably lots of ways to line a bag but this is what I did for mine: Trace and cut out the pattern for the lining out of spare newspaper. Attach the newspaper pattern to the fabric and sew together per the pattern from your cut newspaper. After the lining is all sewn up hand sew the edge of the lining to the BO edge of the bag. That's it!
