Materials
Yarn 360 yards of any fingering weight yarn that gets gauge Gauge 32 sts X 38 rows to 4 inches
Directions:
Cast on 64 sts join to work in rounds Cuff : Knit1, Purl 1 rib for one inch Leg Knit according to chart Repeat rounds 1 through 12, Nine times Heel flap: Worked flat across the next 32 stitches Row 1 [Slip 1, Knit 1] repeat across, Turn Row 2 Slip 1, Purl 31, Turn Repeat row 1 and 2, 16 times (32 rows total) Heel Turn: Row 1. Slip 1, knit 18, SSK, knit 1, turn Row 2 slip 1, purl 7, p2tog. , purl1 , turn Row 3. Slip 1, Knit to 1 stitch before space created from turn on last row, SSK, K1, Turn Row 4. Slip 1, Purl to 1 stitch before space created from turn on last row, P2tog, P1, Turn. Repeat row 3 and 4 'till all stitches are consumed. 20 sts remain
Gusset:
17 sts are picked up in the slipped stitches along each side of the heel flap. The beginning and end of round is located at the center of the sole 86 sts total on needles Round 1. Knit 24, k2tog,k1,pm, knit instep according to chart, pm, k1, ssk, knit to end marker Round 2. knit sole stitches with no decreases, knit instep stitches according to chart Repeat rounds 1 and 2 till 64 sts. remain on needles
Foot:
Sole is worked in stockinettte, knit every round. Instep is continued to be knit according to chart. When foot measures 2 inches less than desired length continue to toe. Toe: Move the beginning of rounds to the side. Place markers to indicate sides of toe. (32sts for top of toe 32 sts for bottom of toe) Round1. Knit Round 2. Knit 1, SSK, knit to 3 sts before side marker, k2tog., k1, slip marker, knit1, SSK, knit to 3 sts. before end of round, k2tog, knit 1.
