Directions
Cast on 304 stitches. Knit for 1 row. Begin working row 1 (WS) of the Fan shell Chart and continue until you have worked 2 complete repeats. Work rows 1 and 2 once more. Begin working the Lace Trellis pattern as follows: Rows 1 and 3 (WS): purl Row 2: K4 [K1, (yo, K2tog) x5,K4] repeat until end. Row 4: K4 [( sskyo) x5, K5] repeat until end. Rows 1-4 equals 1 pattern repeat. Work 1 pattern repeat and then workrows 1-3 once more. Continue as follows: Row 1 (RS): K6 [( sskyo) x3, K7] repeat until end. Rows 2 and 4 (WS): purl Row 3: K6 [K1, (yo, K2tog) x3,K6] repeat until end. Next continue in the following pattern: Row 1 (RS): K8 [ sskyo, K9] repeat until end. Rows 2 and 4 (WS): purl Row 3: K8 [K1,yo,K2tog ,K8] repeat until end. Rows 1-4 equals 1 pattern repeat. Work2 pattern repeats then work rows 1 and 2 once more, increasing 1 stitch (M1) in the middle of row 2. ( 305 stitches) Begin short row shaping as follows : Row 1 (RS): K157, turn work. (do not wrap and turn, simpby turn your knitting to the other Side) Row 2 (WS): P9, turn work. Row 3: Knit until 1t stitch before the turning point then ssk,K3, turn work. Row 4: Purl until 1st stitch before the turning point then P2tog, P3, turn work. Repeat rows 3 and 4 until there are 8 stitches remaining on each side left to be w orked then, continuing in set pattern, purl on the right sides and knit on the wrong sides. Thiswill help in Reeping the cast offedge from curling. When allof the stitches have been worked , cast off purwise, using your preferred stretchy cast off method.
