Knit Pot Scrubber
By Diane Gollehon

For years, at every Christmas bazaar where I could find them, I bought those little round crocheted pot scrubbers in bulk quantities, because they work and hold up better than any other pot scrubber on the face of the planet. Until recently, thanks to Ravelry, I had no idea what kind of material they used. Lo and behold, they are made out of wedding tulle! You know, the 100% nylon stuff they use for bridal veils, etc. But, the scrubber patterns I found on Ravelry were crocheted, and I knit. Thus began the quest (perhaps short and boring, but a quest nonetheless) of developing a knit pot scrubber pattern. These are knit in the round on double-pointed needles. They are very easy (hardest part is knitting 2 together), and only take about an hour to make! Finished Measurement: About 4 in. diameter
Materials:
· 1 roll of wedding tulle (you can find this at craft stores. I found rolls that were 6 in. wide and 20 yd. long. 1 roll will make 3-4 scrubbers!) ·Xacto knife ·Size9DPNs ·Stitch marker · Large tapestry needle

Gauge: Not important! ?
Notes:
pm: place marker k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
Directions:
First, with tulle on roll, cut it in half lengthwise with Xacto knife (see following picture). Make sure you cut all the way through the tulle. If you have a wider roll of tulle, the widths should be about 3 inches each. Once cut, it is easiest if you leave the tulle on the roll. You will knit with one 3-in. width of tulle at a time.
