Gauge
25 stitches: work 2 sts garter stitch, then work stitch 1 to 21 from chart, 2 sts garter stitch. Working in rows, knit stitches on wrong side rows as they appear and do at least the first 16 rows. This is the width of a half repeat and should be approximately 10 cm / 4" depending on the used yarn. With this gauge you can work any size of loop or cowl with the yarn of your choice. Just do the repeats as often as needed to obtain the desired length of cowl or loop. You could, for instance, work the cowl even smaller if you work the repeats only three times.
