Christmas dress with ra66its
This year's finest Christmas dress is knitted in chicken knitting! This cute dress will be many girls' favourite and it is a lot of fun to knit. The designs are rabbits, hearts, christmas trees with hare tracks underneath, snowmen with scarves tied on, and stars with glitter. The dress is nice and warm, yet very comfortable to wear. The dress is knitted from the bottom up. The model is relatively longer in size 2 and 4 years than in size 6 years, since we think it is fine with a little longer dress for the little ones. The suspenders length should be adjusted as you attach the straps to fit. If you leave a little length inside the dress, the dress can be adjusted as the child grows. Christmas dress with rabbits

Yarns and buttons
We have used yarn from Dale called Falk. If you knit 22 stitches in 27 innings, the test patch is 10 cm x 10 cm or 4 x 4 yards. In addition, we used the effect yarn Concorde No. 20 (gold) from Rauma and waste yarn in brown or black for the rabbit eyes. You also need two find decorative buttons in form and color to suit.

Large and small circular needles 3 and 3 %2.
Gauge
If you knit 22 stitches in 27 innings, the test patch is 10 cm x 10 cm or 4 x 4 yards.
The dress
Cast on (210) 224 (240) stitches with colour 5036 Purple on large circular needle size 3. Knit 6 rows (= edge), knit one round eyelet pattern (\* K2 tog, 1 YO \*, repeat). Skip to pin 3 %2, and continue after the chart for our size. Decline where the chart shows. Finally knit one round eyelet pattern (see above), and 6 rows stockinet (= coating on top). Attach coatings bottom of hem and top yoke with loose stitches. Tighten all loose threads.
The suspenders
The suspenders are knit sideways (like a big headband) on circular needles, and cut into two suspenders eventually. So you knit both suspenders in one on circular needle. They have coatings that are sewn together at the bottom. Cast on (110) 140 (160) stitches on circular needles with 5545 Blaveis. Knit 6 rows in stockinet (coating), knit one round eyelet pattern, and then the diagram for the suspenders. Finish with a round cast of holes and 6 rows stockinet (coating). Cast off.
Assembling the suspenders
Sew together in the middle at the back. Divide the work into two equal length suspenders by sewing a zigzag stitch with small stitches 2 times in each end and cut up in between. Attach the straps neatly on the inside of the yoke of the dress. If you want to hide the cut edge, you can knit a little coating attaching the wound edges. Attach the decorative buttons. The scarf on the snowmen
The scarves are created by crochet chain stitches ca. 12 cm with 4536 Lyng Rosa. Thread the scarves on each side of the snowman throats with a crochet hook and tie in front - see photo.
Blocking
Wet dress in lukewarm water, squeeze the water gently out, put it on a towel on the floor, roll into a sausage and step out the moisture. Lay the dress flat on a bathroom floor or drying rack, "form" it and let it dry.
Rabbit eyes
The eyes of the rabbits are embroidered on afterwards with grafting. It is better if you place them between two masks - see picture.
