Infinity Scarf

Knit an Infinity scarf and surround yourself with a circle of softness and warmth. Wear it in a long loop or double wrap it around your neck for an uber soft cowl This scarf was knit in seed stitch, alternating rounds of light grey and blue, Ariosa. Soft, soft, soft and kitten cuddly, this infinity scarf will keep you comfortably warm all winter long. It is a very quick, one-of-a-kind knit, which also makes a lovely gift! Materials: 3 balls of Classic Elite, Ariosa (2 grey and 1 blue, 87 yds. each) and size 11 knitting needles. This scarf is knit using alternating colors throughout the rounds. The scarf is approximately 5 inches wide x 72 inches in circumference. To determine scarf circumference: Loosely drape a tape measure around your neck and decide how many inches around you would like your scarf to measure. Multiply this amount by the stitches per inch on the ball band. Because your work will always lengthen after it is bound off, you will need to subtract approximately 30% - 35% from that sum to determine the number of your cast on stitches. Directions: Using Color 1 (C1), Cast on 180 stitches. Join in the round. BE CAREFUL TO NOT TWIST WHEN JOINING. We are knitting a loop with no twists. Round 1: Knit the round. Round 2: \*Knit 1, Purl 1\*. Switch to Color 2 (C2). Carry the yarn up through the rounds when changing color and twist to avoid any gaps. Round 3: \*Purl 1, Knit 1\*. Round 4: \*Knit 1, Purl 1\*. Round 5: Switch to C1. \*Purl 1, Knit 1\*. Round 6: Switch to C2. \*Knit 1, Purl 1\*. Round 7: \*Purl 1, Knit 1\*. Round 8: Switch to C1. \*Knit 1, Purl 1\*. Round 9: Switch to C2. \*Purl 1, Knit 1\*. Round 10: \*Knit 1, Purl 1\*. Rounds 11-22: Repeat Rounds 5 -10 twice more. Round 23: Switch to C1. \*Purl 1, Knit 1\*. Rounds 24 and 25: Switch to C2. Knit the rounds With Color 2, bind off stitches VERY LOOSLY using this bind off method: K2, \*Slip both stitches back to the left needle, Knit them ToG through the back, K 1, repeatfrom \* Be careful to match the tension of the cast on edge.
