Twined kid's mitt

Materials
Ullcentrum's 3-ply wool yarn, ca 25 g of ea colour Double pointed needles size 4 mm/US 6 Crochet hook
Cast off tip:
When approx. 12-16 m remain, put the stitches from each side of the mitt onto safety pins or markers. Break yarns, leaving a tail of approx. 10-15 cm. Turn mitt inside out and divide the stitches onto 2 needles, one for the front and one for the back. Using a 3rd needle, pull the stitch from the back needle through the stitch on the front needle, which is then dropped. Repeat this with all stitches, resulting in 6-8 stitches remaining.
Put those stitches on a crochet hook and cast them off by pulling the stitches one by one through each other until 1 stitch remains. Pull the yarn from the knitting through this stitch and fasten.
Pattern
With col1, cast on 30 (36) st and knit 1 row flat Join to a ring adding col2 Continue in twined knitting, i.e. alternating col1 and col2, until work measures 4 (5) cm Increase 2 st every 2nd rnd x 3 (4) times for the thumb gusset Right hand: Increase in the second stitch on needle 3 Left hand: Increase in second to last stitch on needle 2 Put 10 (13) st on a piece of yarn, cast on 4 (5) new st above the thumb hole and work approx. 3 (5) cm or desired length Start the decreases: At the beginning of needles 1 & 3: put needle into the back loop of the 2 first stitches, turn needle and catch the last knitted st from the needle before, pull that stitch through the 2 previous stitches, which are then dropped Continue like this until 12 remain Break both yarns, leaving a tail of approx. 15-20 cm Cast off using the method described in ‘tip'
