hand woven crochet scarf
byhyaoanivas This is a very simple pattern in two parts. The first part, you make the 'base' for the scarf and in the second you 'weave' the beauty, with your magic, in. Next row : sc in each sc and ch to end. (30 sc). Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Part 2 :
Below are suggestions on weaving which are self-explanatory via the photo tutorial. I cut a length of just over one and half times the length of my scarf + 24" (12" tassels for each end), as the diagonal intertwining uses more yarn.

Start with one end with a contrast colour, weave through 5th st of 1t ch-5 line, continue to the 1st st of next ch-5 line, intertwining your contrast colour(s) as you go.

For the ch-5 sps, you could just weave in contrast colour(s) through each ch-5 line to get straight contrasting coloured lines. You could complete the first spiral line with a second inter-twine. Start with the 5th chain of the first ch-5, continue on to the 1t ch of the next line, again intertwining your colour(s). For this 'straight line' intertwine, I cut a length of yarn equal to the length of my scarf + 24" (12" tasselsforeachend)

Finishing :
Cut 12 - 18 inch long tassels, fold in half and loop into each dc. Block according to yarn instructions.
