Pattern
With both colours, cast on 48 (54) st Hold one colour round the thumb and the other round the index finger so that one colour ends up round the needles and the other like knots under the needles Row 1 is worked flat: \*k1 with col A, k1 with col B\*, repeat \*-\* until end of row Row 2. Continue in the round purling all st and with both yarns in the front: \*p1 with col A, pu1 with col B\*, repeat \*-\* until end of rnd picking up the yarn to be knitted under the other yarn so that the yarns twist (same principle as in twined knitting) Row 3: Also purled with both yarns in the front: \*p1 with col A, p1 with col B\* until end of rnd, picking up the yarn to be knitted above the other one so that the yarns untwist again Continue in pattern following the diagram:
