Pattern
Garter stitches: Knit on all rows when knitting forth and back in the beginning. After changing to a circular needle you have to switch between a knit round and a purl round. Rib stitches: On the first row \*k1, p1\* repeat to the end. On the following rows knit over knit and purl Over purl.
Bonnet
Cast on 98 (106) 112 (116) sts on ns 2,5 and work 2,5 cm rib back and forth. Change to ns 3 and continue in garter stitches back and forth - AT THE SAME TIME decrease evenly to 84 (96) 96 (108) sts by k2tog. Keep going in garter stitches until the piece measures 7,5 (8) 8,5 (9) cm. Now switch to circular needle and knit in rounds - still in garter stitches. Continue till the piece measures 10,5 (11) 11,5 (12) cm. Make sure your last round is in purl. In the next round decrease by doing the following: \*k 5 (6) 6 (7), k2tog\* repeat 12 times in total = 72 (84) 84 (96) sts leff. Work 3 rounds without decreasing. Next round decrease by doing the following: \*k 4 (5) 5 (6), k2tog\* repeat 12 times in total = 60 (72) 72 (84) sts left. Work 3 round without decreasing. Continue like this by decreasing on every 4th round, where there will be 1 st less between the k2tog. When there are 12 sts left, k2tog throughout the round = 6 sts leff. Cut yarn and pull it through the 6 remaining sts with a yarn needle. weave in ends. There are several ways to make the ties; you can twine them together, make braids or knit them. Choose the one you see fitting. The ties on the front page are twined together,
Ears
Cast on 16 sts on ns 3 and work 3,5 cm garter stitches. MAKE SURE to have a long thread hanging, which later on will be used for assembly. Next row is worked by doing the following: k2tog, k 12, k2tog = 14 sts leff. Knit 1 row. Next row as the following: k2tog, k 10, k2tog = 12 sts left. Knit 1 row. Continue to decrease this way in each side on every 2nd row until 8 sts remains. Bind off. Make 4 pieces like this in total. Sew the pieces together in pairs with a yarn needle. The picture below shows how it can be done (l have used green yarn to make it more clear for you). Do not sew the ear along the bottom, because you'll need to turn the inside out (see pictures on the next page).

Sew ears on the bonnet wherever you see fitting. You may fold them slightly in the bottom, and then they won't sit too loose and hang. Enjoy!
