SQ BUNTING
lake some bunting for Skein Queen's new nest
This pattern was originally created in May 2014 as a secret project where 26 contributors made bunting to decorate the new Skein Queen headquarters. In the end, over 80 gorgeous triangles were made, strung together and sent to SQ HQ! This is a very simple pattern, great for using up your scraps of sockweight yarn. Pick your prettiest yarn scraps to make each little garter stitch bunting triangle, then string them together with a ribbon to decorate a room and remind you of past projects you've made :)
You'll need:
·Fingering weight yarn scraps (5-6g) · 3mm needles · A needle or hook to weave ends in · Ribbon or baker's twine Finished size should be approx 13cm high and wide, but as long as your triangles are roughly the same size, gauge doesn't matter.

Pattern:
Cast on 35 stitches. Rows 1 & 2: Knit across Row 3: K2, \*yo, k2tog\*, K1 Row 4: Knit across Row 5 & 6: K1, ssk, k to end of row Rows 7 & 8: Knit across Repeat rows 5 to 8 until you have 3 stitches left. With 3 stitches left, slip the 1st stitch, k2tog, then pass the first stitch over. Cut your yarn and pull through. Weave the ends in and admire your lovely work. Make as many bunting triangles as you fancy; 12 makes a nice, manageable length to decorate a wall. Take a blunt-end needle and your ribbon or baker's twine, and string your triangles together. Make a loop at each end and hang to brighten your room!
