Mason Jar Sleeve
cozy-up your drinking jars with a colorful knitted sleeve Inspired by Melissa Kwan's “Mason Jar Cozy 3 Ways," this pattern uses our worsted weight yarn in a simple rib to create a quick and easy sleeve for your drinking jars. Each one ounce skein from our Mini-Packs knits one sleeve, meaning you can knit up an assortment of colored cozies! Yarn: Wonderland Yarns “March Hare" Mini-Skein Pack, 1 skein will knit one sleeve; 46 yards per one oz skein Needles & Notions: US size 6 double-pointed needles, darning needle Size: 5.5" tall, 10.25" around, sized to fit a wide mouth pint and half jar. A finished sleeve reaches to about 1/2" before the jar rim. Notes: After knitting the last round you will have only a couple yards of yarn left.; so take care to be sure you begin the decreases at the proper measurement to avoid running out of yarn. When using this sleeve on a smaller jar, fold down the bound-off edge. If you want to knit a sleeve for a larger jar, use more than one skein and try the sleeve on the jar as you go to determine length before decreasing.
