This reversible, symmetrical, triangle scarf is knit in one piece from the top down. Entire scarf is knit in garter stitch. Bottom edge has points made with openwork. Enjoy!
Materials
470 meters DK weight yarn and 4.50mm knitting needles or 600 meters fingering weight yarn and 3.50mm needles 17 stitch markers Gauge in garter stitch for DK weight 20 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches Size (approximate for DK weight) Before blocking: 56 inches along neck edge, 11 inches deep After blocking: 67 inches along neck edge, 17 inches deep
Notes
Raised increase: lift the strand connecting the stitch on the right needle and left needle, place onto left needle and knit.

K = knit KFB = knit into front and back of next stitch M1 = make one stitch using raised increase method YO = yarn over needle to make one stitch SM = stitch marker SLM = slip stitch marker
Instructions
Set up: Using 4.50mm needles, cast on 4 stitches KFB 4 times KFB, K3, place stitch marker, K3, KFB You now have 10 stitches. Row 1: KFB, K to last stitch, KFB Row 2: KFB, K to last stitch, KFB Row 3: KFB, K to one stitch before SM, M1, K1, SLM, K1, M1, K to last stitch, KFB Row 4: KFB, K to last stitch, KFB Repeat rows 1-4 another 21 times (DK weight) or 22 times (fingering weight) before proceeding to Row 5. Each repeat adds 10 stitches to your work. Row 5: KFB, K to SM, SLM, [(K14, place SM) 8 times], K to last stitch, KFB Row 6: KFB, K to last SM, SLM [(K14, place SM) 8 times], K to last stitch, KFB Row 7: KFB, [(K to 2 stitches before SM, YO, K1, YO, K1, SLM, K1, YO, K1, YO) 17 times)], K to last stitch, KFB Row 8: K all stitches Repeat rows 7-8 another 8 times (DK weight) or 9 times (fingering weight). Work Row 7 once more, cast off loosely (knitwise).

Block scarf to open up garter stitches and shape points along bottom edge.
