STURDY DISHCLOTH
This dishcloth is knit in the Grandmother's Favorite by Traditional Design shape, but using Chinese wave stitch, slip stitch edging and lifted loop increases. This creates a sturdy, waffle weave looking cloth without holes. Finished size about 20cm x 20cm. Bernat Handicrafter cotton - approx. 40gr/65m per cloth Cast on 4st using 4.5mm needles. Row 1: Knit. Row 2: Yf, slpw, k2, M1R, k to end. 5st. Row 3-5: Rep Row 2. 8st. Row 6: Yf, slpw, k2, M1R, s1pw, k4. 9st. Row 7: Yf, slpw, k2, M1R, k to end. 10st. Row 8: Yf, slpw, k2, M1R, [s1pw, k1]rep to last 3st, k3. Row 9-52: Rep Rows 7 and 8. 55st. If you would like a larger cloth, repeat these rows to desired number of stitches. Row 53: Yf, s1pw, k1, ssk, k to end. 54st. Row 54: Yf, k1, ssk, [k1, s1pw]rep to last 4st, k4. 53st. Row 55-99: Rep Row 53 and 54. 8st. Row 100-102: Rep Row 53. 5st. Row 103: Yf, s1pw, k1, pso, ssk, pso, k1, pso. 1 st. Cut yarn(leave 15cm tail), pull through last st and weave in end.
