Rojo y Blanco
Materials:
·50 gr red 100% cotton yarn (like Catania by SMC or any 125m x 50gr cotton) 50 gr white 100% cotton yarn 1 pair of 3.5 mm needles 1 pair of 4 mm needles
Size:
· 2-3 years old toddler
Procedure:
The whole hat is knitted flat and then it is sewed.

Cast on 104 stitches in red using the two 4mm needles together, the idea is to get a very loose first round. Change to 3.5 mm needles.

Repeat the above 12 rows 3 more times changing colors as the picture. Change to red and repeat the first 3 rows (104 stiches). From row 4 and all even rows to row 16 do: sl1, purl to the end of the row.

Break and pass the yarn inside the remaining 20 stiches; sew the sides using the slipped stich at the beginning of each row.
Notes for beginners and Continental style knitters:
· ssk and skp decreases produce the same result: at the decrease the stich pass over the left one · k2tog decrease produces a decrease in the other direction: over the right stich · if you knit Continental style, then the decreases are just the opposite, but I think you are used to this problem with all these patterns and tutorials mainly in American knitting style
