Yarn:

DK weight (#3) yarn, in green and blue. Shown here: Lion Brand Bonbons (100% acrylic; 28 yd [26 m]/0.35 oz [1 g] per each mini skein), 1 pack color 610 brights Scraps of black yarn for eyes Scraps of yellow yarn for beak Other materials: Size 2 US (2.75 mm) set of double-pointed needles Toy stuffing Tapestry needle Scissors Stitch marker (optional; see notes) Gauge: Not important, as long as stitches are tight enough that stuffing doesn't show through. Finished sizes: Bush is about 2 inches tall, and bird is about 3% inch tall. Abbreviations: L1 (loop 1): Knit into next stitch without slipping stitch off left needle, bring yarn to front in-between needles, loop around left thumb and return to back of work, knit into st again and remove from left needle, leaving loop hanging out. Pass first stitch over second stitch as if to BO. A loop is formed. A list of the other abbreviations used in this pattern can be found at Www.aLittleBitToKnit.com

Notes:

This project contains small parts that may provide a choking hazard for young children. Some parts of this project are worked in the round. A stitch marker may be useful to keep track of rounds.
