Supporters Scarf Number Two
Support your favourite team with this jumbo squishy scarf. You can make this longer or shorter by starting with more or fewer rows than suggested here, and continuing the progression as indicated. Another option to lengthen the scarf is to add more 6 row sections to the middle. Gauge is unimportant.
Yarn
Red Heart Comfort, one skein each in Cardinal Red (Colour A) and Charcoal (Colour B) or colours to match your team Or any other worsted weight yarn in your desired colours NeedleS and NotionS US 15 (10mm) needles Darning needle
Instructions
All steps are knit with two strands of the same colour held double.Pull from the inside and outside of the same ball to keep things simple.
With colour A CO 20 stitches. Knit the number of garter ridges as indicated for each colour block. One garter ridge=2 knit rows (1 right side and one wrong side) Colour A decreases by one ridge in each section, and Colour B increases by one ridge in each section. Break yarn at the end of each block, leaving approximately 6 inches of yarn to weave in Iater. Section 1A 12 Section 1B 1 Section 2B 2 to get rid of them anyway. Section 4A 9 Section 5A 8 of the tube. If that doesn't seem like enough when you're doing it, pick up more. Weave in all ends. There are a lot of them. I won't tell anyone if you choose to tie them securely in a triple knot.
