What a Rist
arecipeforcolorand texture! Open your stash and dive in! This cowl is knit with a combination of weights and colors. You will be holding four strands together - one strand of lace, one strand of worsted and two strands of fingering. There are no rules and no limits to the color options. Your cowl might be a quiet study in similar colors or it might look like a riot of confetti. Your choice!

YARN:
· 1 skein Plucky Lace · 2 different colored skeins of any Plucky fingering weight - they can be complimentary or wildly different, and they can be two different bases if that tickles your fancy. · 2 matched skeins of any Plucky worsted weight (there is less yardage to the worsteds, so you will need that second skein before you get to the end) NEEDLES: #15 US circular needle MEASUREMENTS: Approximately 12 high 54” circumference GAUGE: 3.5 sts to the inch A COUPLE OF NOTES:Be careful not to lose one of the four strands in an occasional stitch. It's a good idea to give the work a little downward tug every so often to be sure all four strands are playing nicely together. When you need to attach the second skein of worsted this is a great spot to use the disappearing knot. It will never show! Here is a link to a very good instructionalvideo byJaneRichmond that explains this knot perfectly... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nq_7EXTWHE

You will cast on a total of 144 stitches. I like to place my stitch markers during cast on because it makes it easier to count the cast on. \*Cast on 32, stitches place marker, cast on 16 stitches, place marker \* three times. Thelast marker should be a different colon as this marks the start of the round.

BIND OFF AS FOLLOWS:
P1 and slide it back onto the left needle, P2tog until one stitch remains. Cut yarn, leaving an 8' tail and bring the tail through the final stitch. Weave in the ends. DO NOT BLOCK. If needed, give a light spritz to the edges only. Blocking will flatten the cables and you will lose some of the squishy plumpness that makes this cowl so yummy!
