Ruffled scarf in garter stitch in 3 Variationen
Suggested yarn:
2 skeins Wollmeise Merino 100%, 1 x Multicolor (M) and 1 x Semisolid (S) - this in a color that matches one of the colors of the multicolor skein (you will need about 85 gr. of each color). The scarves can be knit using just one color (see ,Slowfox") In this case you need two skeins of the yarn, one will not be enough. You can also use other yarns that have a yardage of appr. 390 - 440 yds/ 100 gr
Needles:
Circular needles 47 inches. I used needles No. 2 1/2 and have a gauge of 22 stitches/ 4 inches. As the scarves look best if knitted loosely, choose larger needles if needed. Crochet hook matching the knitting needles for crochet cast on (l like crochet cast on for scarves and shawls if I have to cast on many stitches. This cast on is firm but stretchy and it looks like the bind-off-edge). Of course you can use every other stretchy cast on method. This is a link for the crochet cast on: Crochet Cast-On Tapestry needle to weave in the ends.
Abbreviations:
k-knit k2tog -knit two stitches together kbf: Knit 2 stitches out of one, knitting the first stitch out of the thread behind the needle, knitting the second stitch out of the thread before the needle.
Selvedge stitch:
Knit the first and last stitch in every row, except decrease rows 13 and 25 and increase rows 37 and 49 - knit these rows as described.
