Materials
Small round knitting loom with 24 pegs (green Boye loom was used in sample) 2 skeins Lion Brand Bulky yarn, Oklahoma City Green tapestry needle black yarn for face stuffing
Body
Cast on 24 stitches and work in rounds until piece measures approximately 6 inches. Thread yarn through all stitches, pull together and secure.
Arms (make 2)
ist on 10 stitches. Knit 6 rows. Bind off across. Fold in half and stitch closec
Beak
ist on 8 stitches. Knit 8 rows. Pull yarn through stitches, pull tight and secure
Head Crest
Work as for Beak.
Wings
Cast on 10 stitches. Knit until piece is approximately 12 inches in length. Pull yarn through stitches and secure. Pull yarn through cast on stitches and secure. Stuff body. Create head by gathering body around neck. Sew on arms. Sew beak to lower front of head and head crest to back part of the top of the head. Sew wings onto arms and fasten across back of body.
