DO NOT TURNYET!: Cast on 9 Stitches at the end of the row in Yarn A. Turn. Sl1, K7, K2Tog. Turn. \*\*\* You are now ready to begin the zigzag flap. This is worked at right angles to the end of your last Yarn B row. Every second row there are two K2Tog's. The first one will be two Yarn A stitches, the second one has one Yarn A stitch and the nearest stitch in Yarn B. As you knit more rows you effectively ^cast off the Yarn B section at right angles. Keep repeating the next 12 rows until all the Yarn B stitches are used. TO MAKE UP:
Turn pattern to WS. Pin edges together so Yarn A sections line up. Darn together on WS LEAVING SPACE FOR THE THUMB. Stitch a hem around the thumb hole in Yarn A to secure it (with special attention to the stitches beside the joins, as these will be the most strained by daily wear). Turn the right side out and block if required. The zig-zag flap should easily fold over when needed. \*\*\* If you have two hands repeat entire pattern a second time, making sure the thumb-hole is on the opposite side. (If not, you're ready to go!)
