Striped Toilet Paper Hat
A festive but functional bathroom decoration Knit 10 rows in 3x3 ribbing.

You will need: 4 size 8/5mm double-pointed needles 50 yards red Aran-weight yarn 50 yards green Aran-weight yarn 50 yards white Aran-weight yarn Tapestry needle One Charmin Ultra-Soft Mega Roll
Hat:
Using red yarn, CO 90 sts. Join and begin knitting in the round, being careful not to twist. Switch to green. Knit 4 rows in stockinette. Switch to white. Knit 4 rows in stockinette. Switch to red. Knit 4 rows in stockinette. Continue in this manner until you have 3 rows of green, 3 rows of white, and 2 rows of red above the ribbing. You will end on a white row. Switch to red. K2tog for one round. Continue to k2tog until six stitches remain. (You will have odd numbers of stitches until the very end; knit the last stitch by itself.) Cut yarn. Use tapestry needle to thread through remaining stitches and pull tight. Weave in ends.
Pompom:
Using all three colors, make a pompom in your usual method. If you don't have a usual method -I wrapped the yarn fifteen times around a paperback copy of C.S. Friedman's Black Sun Rising. You may want to use a smaller book or more wraps for a poofier pompom. Attach pompom to top of hat. Pull hat over toilet paper, remembering to fold the ribbed section in half.
