The neck warmer is knitted in two steps: main section knitted in garter stitch lenghwise and the ruffles, knitted in the round. For a better fininish remember to knit a border stich in the beginning of each row. Pattern: Main section With knitting needle 5,0 mm. (US 8) cast on 5 sts. Row 1(WS): knit Row 2.: K2; yo; K1;. yo; K2 (7 sts.) Row 3 and every other odd row: knit Row 4.: K2; yo; K3; yo; K2 (9 sts.) Row 6: K2; yo; K5; yo; (11 sts.) Row 8: K2; yo; K7; yo; K2 (13 sts.) Row 10: K2; yo; K9; y0; K2 (15 sts.) Continue your work by increasing 2 sts. in every even row until you have 23 sts. On the next RS row: K2, yo, K2tog; knit until before the last 4 sts.; ssk; yo; K2. Knit 40 rows more without increasing On the next RS row start the short row shaping section: 1st section: K2; yo; K2tog, sl next st. without knitting; w&t ; knit all the sts. 2nd section: K2; yo; K2tog; K10 m., sl next st. without knitting; w&t ; knit all the sts. Repeat sections 1 to 3 for 2 more times. Knit without any increase for 70 (78) rows. Repeat sections 1 to 3 for 3 times. Knit 40 rows more without increasing On the next RS row start to decrease as follows: K2; yo, sl2tog, K1, p2sso; knit until before the last 5 sts.; sl2tog, K1, p2sso; yo; K2 Repeat this decreasing row (even row) until you have left 5 sts. Cast off.

Finishing:

From the central stitch of the 5 stitches on the cast-on edge and using the circular knitting needle 6.0 mm (US 10), pick up 220 (228) sts. and knit following the instructions for the Fancy Ruffle Edge. Cast off following the pattern. Weave in loose ends. Overlap the shorter edges and fix the button or broche.
