INSTRUCTIONS

BLANKET STITCH ACROSS TOWEL Cut a length of yarn approx. $60^{\prime\prime}$ /150cm and thread through yarn needle. Make blanket stitch along top edge of towel working from right to left as follows: With needle behind work, thread through to front of towel, approx. $0.25^{\prime\prime}/0.5\mathsf{c m}$ from right edge and 0.5"/1cm from top edge. Pull needle through so that there is $3^{\prime\prime}/7.5\mathsf{c m}$ tail of yarn remaining at Ws of work. \*Bring needle behind work. Thread through to front of towel, approx. $0.5^{\prime\prime}/1\mathsf{c m}$ to the left of the last entry point. Place the strand of yarn coming from last stitch behind the needle, so that the needle is on top of this strand. Pull needle through to make a right-angled stitch running along top edge of tail and down. One blanket stitch made. Repeat from \* across entire top edge of towel. Thread yarn tail through back of work, trim and weave in end. (Approx. 24 blanket stitches, depending on width of towel.)

Cut yarn and pull tail through working loop. FINISHING Fold last three rows of crochet downwards, so that an envelope-style flap of approx. $2.25^{\prime\prime}/6\mathsf{c m}$ is formed.
