Sample ornament knit with "Romashka" (Chamomile) (100% cotton) 320 m [350 yds]/75 g [2.7 oz], approx. 30 m [33yds]/7g [0.25 oz] total Needles 3 mm [US2.5] (4 mm [US4.5] for binding off) Finished size 20 x 15 cm [7.9 in x 5.9 in] This tree is worked from the top down in one piece in back-and-forth rows with increasing stitch numbers. Using 3 mm [Us2.5] needle, cast on 3 sts as shown in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfc-Q-v3Dns, knit 4 (1 from the bar between sts), turn work, purl 4, turn work, knit 6 (2 from the bar between sts) and continue from chart. Work selvedge sts (shown in Rows No1 through 7) as follows: slip first st purl-wise, knit last st of row. In WS rows - purl all sts (unless otherwise stated), work the double yarn overs as [kl, pl]. For your convenience, mark the center stitch of the ornament using a stitch marker. If desired, ornament may be decorated with added beads or sequins.
