Little Paw's Ready-Made Shawl

Do you have unfinished needle worked items? You don't like to finish them? They are too good to throw away? .... Then I have an idea for you. Recycle them for a new shawl or cowl. Especially the back or front part of a pullover with half sleeves added in one piece is suitable for this idea. Also pullovers knitted in the round are suitable for cowls. Add a pretty lace border or some beautiful flowers and ready is your new shawl or cowl. If you want to knit this half pullover with the big spaces I added a pattern description at the end of this file.

Here are some further examples: 1. Little Lilac Lace Cowl This was an unfinished sweater vest knitted in the round. It looked unpleasant. I took my shear and divided feisty the pretty from the ugly part. I added some rows of ribbing and made an i-cord bind-off. And ready is the ready-made seamless cowl. From the yarn scraps I made a poodle crown for my dog. He doesn't look lucky. He seems to think: 'Oh dear! I'm a poor dog. That's so embarrassing. But the reward is very big and my Frauchen (mistress) is happy. So I'm not able to resist to model.'

3. Waves and Flowers

And now have much fun with your needlework. I added a simple knitted lace and two crocheted flowers. Yarn Something with cotton, linen and rayon. 50g approx. 125 meters (137 yards). Needles Circular knitting needle which fits the yarn about US 6 / 4 mm. Gauge is not important for this shawl.
Finished measurements after washing & blocking approx. in cm:
This shawl is very stretchy. Therefore the measurements are very approx. approximately. The sleeves became longer and longer. That's the reason why I didn't feel like finishing this pullover.

Abbreviations:
WS wrong side RS right side ES edge stitch PR pattern repeat st(s) stitch(es) p purl k knit yo yarn over k2tog knit 2 stitches together
Instructions
The pattern is a multiply of 4. Begin with the sleeve. Cast on 24 sts + 2 edge sts and knit next row. Continue with chart A. The lace motif is patterned on both sides. Odd rows are RS, even rows are WS. Odd rows are read from right to left, even rows from left to right. The edge sts work like you prefer. Repeat the 4 sts and the 2 rows.
Increases for the half sleeve:
Increases are worked on left side. You may also work them on right side. Every 4th row increase 1 st on RS for 28 times. For every increase pick up the strand between next to last and the last stitch of row with the left needle, knit it through the back loop.
Back part of pullover:
In the next 4th row after increases add 44 sts using backside increase on left side. Work straight on 60 PRs vertically. Cast-off 44 sts on WS in the 2nd row of PR 60.
Decreases for the second half sleeve:
Decreases are worked on left side. Every 4th row decrease 1 st on RS for 28 times. For every decrease work k2tog over the 2 sts before last st of row.
