Use a G hook to make O-6months Hat and Booties Booties = 3.5" Hat = 14.5" circumference Use a H hook to make 6-12months Booties = 4" Hat = 15.5" circumference skill level - easy special stitches- 5dc = shell=5dc make a shell Markers: Markers are used to help distinguish the beginning of each round being worked. Place α 2" scrap piece of yarn before the first stitch of each round, moving marker after each round is complete.

FIRST EAR FLAP
Row 1: 1sc in each of the next 10sc. Ch1,turn. (8sc) Row 2: 1sc in each of the next 10sc. Ch1, turn. (8sc) Row 3: Dec first 2sc tog, 1sc in each of the next 4sc, dec last 2sc tog. Ch1, turn. Rnd 5: With G or H hook and baby green, and with hat opening facing you, attach yarn to where you fastened off. 1Sc in each sc around. Slst to join. Ch1, turn. Rnd 6: 1sc in the backloops of each sc around. Slst to join. Fasten off baby green. Rnd 7: With G or H hook and petal pink, attach yarn to where you fastened off and with top of hat facing you, 1sc in same st as joining, skip next sc, ( 5hdc in next sc, skip next sc, 1slst in next sc) rep around. Slst to join. Fasten off leaving a tail to tack the petal pink scallops down.
SHELLS FOR TOP OF HAT
Rnd 1: With G or H hook and Baby Green, ch10, slst to form ring. Ch1, Sc 20 times in center of ring. Slst to join. (20sc) Rnd 2: Sc in same st as joining, skip next sc (5dc in next sc, skip next sc, 1slst in next sc, 5dc in next sc,) repeat around. Slst to join. (6 petals) Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew with. Place this piece over the knob on top of hat, sew to top of hat. Weave in ends.
BOOTIES SOLE RND 1: with G or H hook and soft white, ch8, 2sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in next 5ch, 4sc in end ch. Now working on opposite side of ch, 1sc in next 5ch, 1sc in same ch as beginning.
