Magic (adjustable) ring: Make a large loop with yarn. Holding the loop with your fingers, insert hook into loop and pull working yarn through loop on hook. Continue to work indicated number of stitches into loop. Pull on yarn tail to close loop. To change color: Work stitch until 2 loops remain on hook, drop working yarn color, pick up specified yarn color and draw trough both loops on hook. Flower Motif & Neck Chain Stitch Diagrams
Refer to Flower Stitch Diagram at right for assistance. Rnd 1 (RS): With MC, magic ring (see Special Stitches and Notes), ch 1, (sc, ch 3) 5 times in ring, join with sl st to beg ch-5 ch-3 sps and 5 SC. Rnd 2: Ch 1, (sc, hdc, 5 dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-3 sp around, join with sl st to beg ch-5 petals. Rnd 3: Ch 1, working behind petals of Rnd 2, (sc in next sc of Rnd 1, ch 5) around, join with sl st to beg ch. Change to CC (see Special Stitches and Notes). Rnd 4: Ch 1, (sc, hdc, 9 dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-5 sp around, join with sl st to beg ch. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Make second Flower Motif in opposite colors.

NECK CHAINS
First Chain
Refer to Neck Chain Stitch Diagram, p. 3 for assistance. With MC, chain 18" (46 cm) long Neck Chain. Row 1 (RS): Sl st in first and each ch across. Fasten off.
Second (3rd) Chains
With MC, chain 20 (22)" (51 [56] cm) long Neck Chains. Complete as First Chain.
FINISHING
Wet or steam block all pieces to finished measurements. With sewing needle, sew ends of First, Second and 3rd Neck Chains in the order. Cut ribbon in half and sew to the same point. String beige beads onto ribbons and push them to chains point. Referring to detail picture for placement, with sewing needle, sew Flower Motifs and leaves to chains. With tapestry needle and coordinating yarn, sew beads in the centers ofeach flower.
