Striped Ski Beanie in Three Colors of 8-ply About 150 grams of 8 ply wool yarn. (Totem & Fireside) Size $3.5\mathsf{m m}$ needles (I knit loosely). 22 sts & 28 rows = 10 cm Cast on 127 sts. Knit in k1p1 rib for 39 rows. Increase in last row every $5^{\mathrm{th}}$ stitch (152 sts- don't worry about the left over stitches) Knit stocking stitch for 30 rows. Start shaping the top: Do a left leaning decrease every 15 stitches (the last one will move over across the seam to be the first one after two decreases) Knit one row. Do the decrease every right side row, reducing the number of stitches between the decreases every second row. Continue untilallthe stitches are decrease stitches(6 sts) and cut yarn. Thread up a sewing needle and take stitches off and pull up tight. Sew seam, reversing for last 20 rows of ribbing so the seam doesn't show when ribbing is turned up.
