This is a pattern rewritten and modified only slightly to the original. The original author, Erika Ward, gets full credit for the Owl pattern. Materials used: Hook: G Yarn: Cotton Buttons for eyes Ab bre viations: ch = chain crochet sl st = slip stitch
Owl Pattern Rows:
The Owls are created in a twelve stitch wide strip by creating two cables side by side on either side of the center to form the owl shape. The three rows below are repeated as necessary to form the Owls. OWL CROsS: skip 4 stitches, 2 fptc in next two, ch 2, reach in front of the trebles and fptc in each of the two fpdc's you skipped, skip 4 stitches, 2 fptc in the far pair of fpdc's, ch 2, reach behind the trebles and and fptc in each of the 2 fpdc's you skipped. Skip past the rest of the cabling and resumepattern OWL 1: 2 fpdc, 2 dc in ch space, 4 fpdc, 2 dc in ch space, 2 fpdc, resume pattern OWL 2: 2 fpdc, 2 dc, 4 fpdc, 2 dc, 2 fpdc, resume pattern Note: the OWL CROSS row wil look messy until you have worked a row or two on top of it
