CHARACTER EGG COZIES

You Will Need
$\mathcal{F}$ 3mm Knitting Needles $\mathcal{F}$ Oddments of Rowan Pure Wool 4ply $\mathcal{F}$ Felt Scraps $\mathcal{F}$ 3mm Ribon (1m for each) $\mathcal{F}$ Google Eyes $\mathcal{F}$ UHU All Purpose Glue $\mathcal{F}$ Scrap of Netting Fabric & Rowan Shimmer for Bumblebee \*Work 2 rows in garter stitch (knit every row) Work 2 rows in stocking stitch (row 1 knit, row 2 purl) Eyelet Row: Knit 3, [YO, S1K1 PSSO, K3] to end.\* \*\*Starting with a purl row, work in stocking stitch until work measures 7cm from cast on edge, ending with a W row.
Shape Base
Row 1: [K2, K2tog] to last st, K1 (25sts) Row 2 and all foll alt rows: P Row 3: [K1, K2tog] to last st, K1 (17sts) Row 5: [K2tog] to last st, K1 (9sts) Draw along end of yarn through remaining stitches on the needle and pulltight. Join row ends with right side facing and darn inall ends. \*\*
Beak
Cast on 5 stitches usine Pure Wool 4ply in Orange Row 1: K Row 2: P Row 3: S1K1PSSO, K1, K2tog (3sts) Row 4: P Row 5: K3tog (1st) Draw yarn through remaining stitches and sew beak in place. Glue google eyes in place andleavetodry. Thread ribbon through eyelets and tie intoa bow at the front. Cut small pieces offelt into wing shapes and glue at the side. Add make up using coloured pencils if desired.
Bumblebee Egg
Cast on 33sts in Rowan Shimmer in Black. (Yarn A) Work 2 rows garter stitch (knit every row) Change to Yellow Pure Wool 4ply (Yarn B) and work 2 rows in stocking stitch. Eyelet Row: Work as given for eyelet row for chick egg. Work 3 rows st st in yellow. Continuing in a stripe pattern of 4 rows in shimmer, 4 rows in yellow, work in stocking stitch until work measures 7cm. Work base shaping as given for chick egg. Draw a long end of yarn through remaining stitches on the needle and pulltight. Join row ends with right side facing and darn in all ends. Cut a scrap of netting fabric into a piece approxiametly 15cm x 25cm. Lay lengthwise and fold in upper and lower edges. Then bring in both side edges tothe middle, and seal with line of running stitch down the centre of the fabricto form a bowshape, using diagram as a guide. Stitch to back of bumblebee, glue on eyes, and bring ribbon through eyelets and tie a bow at the front.
Cast on 33 stitchesin Pure Wool4ply using orange or desired hair colour. Work as given for Chick Egg from \* to\* Work 2 rows st st and 1 row K. Join inflesh colour. Work in st st until work measures 4cm.
Nose Row-K16,nit 5 timesintext stitch,tu,tun,K,tu P5,t,K5and finishyassing 4 stitches veth fist these 5 to form bobble. Knit to end. Work as given for chick egg from \*\* to \*\*. Embroidera smile using scrap yarn and ad freckles usingafelt tipped pen.Glue on eyes, draw ribbon through and tiea bow at the front.
