Fasten off. Weave in the end. Sewing the face: with black yarn, sew on three lashes on each side of the face. Make all three come together at a common center. They need to be long enough so that they stick out from behind the buttons that you will sew over top of the joining sections of the lashes. I did an embroidery stitch for the nose using the caron watermelon color. It's easier to draw (or print out) the general shape of the nose, cut it out and pin to the face so you can sew the outline of the nose that way. I did mine free-hand. Then sew the mid-line from the nose to the mouth and sew on the smiley mouth. I also added three freckles under each eye. With the pink tail of the face, thread the yarn needle and sew the face onto the hat. Sew the inner ears to the open end of the outer ears. Only sew on the outside side of the outer ear, so you don't have any stitches passing through to the back of the ear as a whole. This way, you can hide the yarn ends on the inside of the ear. AND, you have a nice clean finished product. Affix the alligator clip hair bow onto the hat right at the top of the hair of the face.
