144 Waves at Lazise
When we spent our holidays last autumn at the Lake Garda, I got inspired by the ruffling waves. They were touching the shore so soft and tender - just as soft and gentle this - more flat - triangular shaped shawl is. The long side of it has finally 144 eyelets - this was the inspiration for the name of this shawl. Snuggle in - maybe you can hear the softsound of thewaves !
Materials:
75 gr. Malabrigo Lace Baby Merino (col. Watergreen) 1 circular knitting needle Nr. 3.5 mm (US 4), length 80 cm 2 stitchmarkers Abbreviations: Z1 = increase 2 sts Sm = Stitchmarker Psm = place stitchmarker Smr = slip stitchmarker to the right needle ssk = slip 2 sts knitwise, knit them together with the left needle M1 = make one st by picking up the horizontal loop between sts knitting into the back of it U = yon k2tog = knit 2 stitches together 1. row: Z1, knit 1 st, Z1 (5 stitches) 2. row: Z1, purl 3 sts, Z1 (7 stitches) 3. row: Z1, knit 2 sts, Psm, knit 1 st, Psm, knit 2 sts, Z1 (9 stitches) 4. row: Z1, purl 3 sts, Smr, purl 1 st, Smr, purl 3 sts, Z1 (11 stitches) 5. row: Z1, knit 1 st, ssk, U, knit 1 st, M1, Smr, knit 1 st, Smr, M1, knit 1 st, U, k2tog, knit 1 st, Z1 6. row: Z1, purl until to the last stitch, Z1 7. row: Z1, knit 1 st, ssk, U, knit until to the Sm, M1, Smr, knit 1 st, Smr, knit until to the last 4 sts, U, k2tog, knit 1 st, Z1 8. row: Z1, purl until to the last st, Z1 Repeat the rows 7 + 8 until you have 124 eyelets at the longside (after 62 eyelets counted from the middle, I have placed a stitchmarker for easier counting).
Eyelet row:
1. row: Z1, knit 1 st, ssk, U,\*knit 2 sts, ssk, U\* repeat from \* to\* until 3 sts before Sm, knit 3 sts, M1, Smr, knit 1 st, Smr, M1, knit 3 sts, \*U, k2tog, knit 2 sts\*, repeat from \* to \* until to the last 4 sts, U, k2tog, knit 1 st, Z1 2. row : Z1, purl until to the last stitch, Z1 Knit the next 2 rows as the rows 7 + 8 (2 times), at the last row you can remove the stitchmarkers.
Wavy edge:
1. row: Z1, knit 1 st, ssk, U, knit 2 sts\*increase 2 sts\* repeat to \* until to the last 6 sts, knit 2 sts, U, k2tog, knit 1 st, Z1 2.row: Z1, purl until to the last st, Z1 3.row: Z1, knit 1 st, ssk, U, knit until to the last 4 sts, U, k2tog, knit 1 st, Z1 4.row: Z1, purl until to the last st, Z1 repeat the rows 3 + 4 still 4 times.
Finishing:
nit the rows 1 + 2 of the wavy edge one time, bind off loosely (Il took a bigger needle for this)
Done - put the shawl around your neck and feel the waves .

Als wir letzten Herbst am Gardasee unseren Urlaub verbrachten, inspirierten mich die sich kräuselnden Wellen. So sanft und leicht beruhrten sie das Ufer - genauso sanft und leicht ist dieses vielseitige - eher flache - Dreiecktuch. Die Längskante hat am Ende 144 Locher, was mich zum Namen dieses Tuches inspirierte. Kuschelt euch ein - vielleicht hort ihr das sanfte Rauschen der Wellen.
Material:
75 gr. Malabrigo Lace Baby Merino (col. Watergreen) 1 Rundstricknadel Nr. 3.5 mm, 80 cm 2Maschenmarker Fertige Grosse nach dem Spannen: B 176 cm, T 47 cm bkurzungen: Z1 = 1 Masche rechts stricken aber auf der Nadel lassen, hinten in die Masche einstechen und Garn durchziehen, dann die Masche auf die rechte Nadel gleiten lassen ( = 1 Masche zugenommen) Mm = Maschenmarker Mms = Maschenmarker setzen Mr = Marker auf die rechte Nadel gleiten lassen ssk = 2 Maschen wie zum Rechtsstricken abheben, mit der linken Nadel in beide Maschen einstechen und rechts stricken M1 = 1 Masche aus dem Querfaden zunehmen und verschränkt rechts abstricken U = Umschlag k2tog = 2 Maschen rechts zusammenstricken 1. Reihe (Ruckreihe): Z1, links stricken bis zur letzten Masche, Z1 Die nächsten Reihen wie Reihen 7 + 8 stricken ( 2 Mal), bei der letzten Ruckreihe Maschenmarkierer entfernen.
Wellenkante:
1. Reihe: Z1, 1 M re, ssk, U, 2 M re\*aus jeder Masche eine zweite herausstricken\* bis letzte 6 M, 2 M re, U, k2tog, 1 M re, Z1 2. Reihe (Ruckreihe): Z1, links stricken bis zur letzten Masche, Z1 3. Reihe: Z1, 1 M re, ssk, U, rechts stricken bis zu den letzten 4 Maschen, U, k2tog, 1 M re, Z1 4.Reihe (Ruckreihe): Z1, links stricken bis zur letzten Masche, Z1 Reihen 3 + 4 noch 4 Mal wiederholen.
