Turtle Hat
As I was creating this hat, my 3 yr old came up to me and said, "Are you making that turtle for me?" I held it up and thought, "This does look like a turtle.'

The slipped stitches pullup making a cute scallop on the edge. Materials: Cascade Sierra, MC purple and CC green, or any worsted weight yarn, 50 gms each color. US #8 ( $5\;\mathrm{mm})$ needles $12^{\bullet}$ circular. Gauge: 20 sts in 4" (10 cm) Finished Dimensions: 13 (14.5, 16, 17.5) With MC, CO 64 (72, 80, 88). Join in a round being careful not to twist. Place stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round. Round 1: Purl all stitches. Round 2: Knit all stitches. Round 3: Purl all stitches
Stitch Pattern:
Rounds 1-6: With CC, k2, \*sl 2, k6; repeat from \*. (You'll be slipping the same 2 sts on every round). Round 7: With MC knit even. Round 8: Purl even. Round 9-10: Repeat rounds 7-8. Round 11-16: With CC $^{*}\mathrm{k}6$ s 2; repeat from \*. Round 17-20: Repeat rounds 7-10. Repeat these 20 rounds $5\,\%$ (6 times, $6\,\%$ , 7) times. For $\%$ time, end with row 10. Bind off\* stitches and sew together at the top. \*Optional bind off: Before binding off turn inside out and 3 needle bind offor a smooth seam.
