Large Granny Square Crochet Pattern: Yellou Pink and Sparkly Blanket Design by Janet McMahon

Yellou Pink and Sparkly

Large Granny Square

By Janet McMahon

A few days ago I was contacted on Ravelry by Hendria. She had spotted the blanket in the background of my Buttercup bear pattern, and was interested to know if I had the pattern. Here's the picture.

Pattern illustration

I made the blanket 17 years ago when l was expecting Eve. Here it is. I made it up as a large cot blanket. It consists of 64 squares, arranged in an 8 x 8 square. The blanket is just over 1 metre square ( 40 inches).I finished it off with a simple dc (sc) edging.

Unfortunately I no longer have the pattern for the granny square but I have been able to reconstruct the pattern - and here it is.
