SIZE
The hat is designed to fit head circumference of about 56-58 cm. By adjusting the needle size or the yarn choice you can have smaller/bigger gauge. CHART A. FOR THE HAT AND THE COLLAR

HAT
RIBBING
CO 100 sts with 3mm needles. Place stitch marker and join in for knitting in the round. Work kl, p1 ribbing about 5 cm (2"). INCREASEROUND Change to 4 mm needles and increase as follows: \*k10, m1\* repeat (= 110 sts).
WORKING THE CHART
With 4 mm needles continue working the chart until the hat measures about 18-20 cm/\~8" (ribbing included) and you have just done the rnd 8 or 16 from the chart. You will have about 3.5pattern repeats.

CROWN SHAPING
Next, continue the cable part (first 12 sts) of the pattern as in chart A. and work the chart B. (crown shaping chart) in the lace part of the pattern. Work chart B. once, starting from rnd 1 from that chart.

COLLAR
With 4.5 mm needles co 154 sts (or 176 sts if you want looser version). Next rnd: knit. Work chart A. until the collar is about 40cm/16" long. Fasten off. Next rnd: \*k1, k2tog\* repeat Next rnd: \*k1, k2tog\* repeat Break yarn, thread through remaining sts, pull tight and fastenoff.
