Amble by Alison Clayton
A pair of socks inspired by traditional British gansey sweater stitch patterns. I love the complex sweater designs but enjoy the instant (well, comparatively instant!) gratification of knitting socks. Amble is actually the name of a small fishing village on the Northumberland coast of North-East England, near my home town! Worked from the top down, the stitch pattern of the leg continues down the heel flap to show off in clogs or sandals as the weather gets warmer, whilst this lovely merino yarn will still keep your feet. warm and comfy. Make these in fresh spring colors, authentic muted shades or even bright summer colors, however it's best to avoid tweedy shades, as you will not see the stitch pattern clearly. SIZE Women's Medium
