until 2 cC sts remain. Cast on l8 sts (20 cc sts). Continue in this way all the way around the blanket, and the blanket corners should line up with the lowest point in the edge pattern, with 7 repeats along long edges, and 4 on each short. BO last 2 sts at the end, and join to co edge. Weave in all ends and block to measurements. t could be made to any size, in l9st per side increments
Techniques
Figure of eight cast on
Hold the needles with the points parallel, in your left hand. Take the yarn in your right, and holding the tail against the front of the bottom needle, wrap the yarn around and in between the two needles in a figure of eight pattern. Each circuit makes a stitch on each needle, having the last st made on the bottom needle. If your CO is too “saggy", either tighten it up by working the slack back trough after a few rounds, towards the loose tail of yarn, or else CO with a smaller needle size than is intended for the work.
