Tools: 4.5mm circular needles-2x60cm, 1x120cm 4.5mm straight needle xl darning. needle 4 stitch markers Gauge: 2lsts x 30rows over 4"/10cm, stockinette. Yarn used: Cat.inna.hat.creation's wow, super aran! 100g MC-over the rainbow x3 CC-teal x2

CAST ON HERE!!

using an invisible double cast on(see resources below), cast _on 122 stitches with Mc(I find it easiest to start with 2' circular needles at this point in the pattern, ,then move on to a longer circ when there 'is more ease 'in the blanket). Place round marker & Knit l round. Round 2: kl,kf&b, pm, _kf&b, k55,.kf&b, pm, kf&b, kl. Repeat. Round 3: knit round, slipping markers as they come. repeat last 2 rows until long section_reaches 133 sts and short reaches 76sts, progressing to single long circular needle when possible.

EDGING

leave blanket stitches on long circular needle. Taking single straight needle, or short interchangable circular with_a guard on one end, cast on 20 sts with cc. Now using the needles as you would a pair of straights, onto long_needle.knit 1 CC stitch with_next MC stitch. Continue knitting all CC stitches onto long needle. 20 (cc) sts.

Edge pattern

sl1 wyif,.k2tog, k to end of cC. wyif sll Mc.turn K2tog, making sure not to twist Mc stitch, K to_end. last two rows make up_edge.pattern. Repeat until 3 cc sts remain. Next row: sll wyif, k2, wyif sll MC. Starting with second row of edge pattern, repeat edge pattern until 2'cC sts remain. Cast on 18' sts (20 cC’ sts). blanket corners should line up_with the lowest point in the edge pattern, with 7 repeats along long edges, and 4 on each short. Bind off last.2 sts at the end, and join to cast on edge. weave in all ends and block to measurements. This blanket could be made to any size, in 19st per side increments.
