Sometimes you just want to dress up. Something with beautiful, light-as-a-feather, lacy, drape adds the perfect elegant touch for daytime or evening. Knitted with a wonderfully soft and sparkly Merino wool, this scarf is deceptively easy to make, works up fast, and is the perfect accessory for almost any outfit and mood. A musthave for every wardrobe! Sizes -One size fits all Materials: One 100 g skein each of any fingering weight sparkly Merino (Cover uses The Galloping Jester's Moonbeam.) #7 needles 6 mm beads, if desired and small crochet hook for attaching them Gauge: Gauge is unimportant here. Abbreviations: K = knit P = purl YO = yarn over SL = slip stitch PSSO = pass slipped stitch off K2TOG = knit 2 sts together Loosely CO 35 sts. Knit 8 rows garter stitch, adding beads every 5 st or so on row 4, if desired. Begin pattern: First Row (right side): K 4 sts. \*K1, YO, K4, K2TOG. SL1, K1, PSSO, K4, YO. Repeat from\* to last 4 sts. K last 4 Sts. Second Row (wrong side) K 4 sts. P to last 4 sts. K last 4 sts. Repeat these two rows to desired length. Then knit garter stitch for 8 rows (repeat bead pattern on 4" row as in beginning, if using beads). BO. (Cover scarf measures 7 feet after blocking.) Finishing: Tie and trim all yarn ends. Wash and block flat. Make sure edges are straight and crisp. Wear loose, wrapped, wrapped and tied, or pinned with a brooch for pure elegance!
