Size: 2.5 inches or 6.5cm when standing and knitted in double knit yarn Materials: 3.25mm or 3US knitting needles and 3.25mm or 3US double pointed knitting needles Small amount of yellow double knit yarn Small amount of blue double knit yarn Small amount of black double knit yarn Small amount of stuffing Black embroidery thread for mouth Small googly eyes Abbreviations: St/s - Stitch/es Co - Cast on (Il use the thumb method) K - Knit or garter stitch P- Purl St-st - Stocking stitch (1 Knit row, then 1 purl row) KFB - Knit in the front and the back of a stitch (increases by 1 stitch) PFB - Purl in the front and the back of a stitch (increases by 1 stitch) K2tog - Knit 2 stitches together as 1 (decreases by 1 stitch) P2tog - Purl 2 stitches together as 1 (decreases by 1 stitch) Cast off - Cast off by knitting or purling two stitches then slipping the bottom stitch over the top one. Sew - sew pieces together using mattress stitch Other yarns and needle sizes can be used, such as the fluffy Minion below. He came out much bigger. Just make sure that it makes a tight fabric so the stuffing doesn't show through
Body And Head
Co 3sts in blue 1. KFB to end (6sts) 2.P 3. KFB to end (12sts) 4. P 5. (KFB, K1) to end (18sts) 6-8. St-st Start knitting with blue and yellow yarn 9. K2 in blue, K5 in yellow, K4 in blue, K5 in yellow, K2 in blue (18sts) 10. P2 in blue, P5 in yellow, P4 in blue, P5 in yellow, P2 in blue (18sts) 11-12. Repeat last 2 rows 1 more time Change to blue yarn only 13. K Change to yellow yarn 14-16. St-st Change to black yarn 17. K Change to yellow yarn 18. P 19. (K2tog, K1) to end (12sts) 20. P 21. K2tog to end (6sts) 22. P 23. K2tog to end (3sts) Cut yarn, thread through stitches on the needle. Pull tight and fasten off.
Arms And Hands
I-cord 3 sts in black double knit yarn 1-2. K Change to yellow double knit yarn 3-8. K 9. Cast off
Feet
I-cord 4 sts in black double knit yarn 1-2. K 3. Cast off
To Make Up
Sew the edges of the body and head together, stuffing as you go. Sew the arms to the sides of the body right under the shoulder straps. Sew the feet to the bottom of the body. Glue the googly eyes to the middle of the goggle strap. Embroider the mouth on.
