Pattern Notes
This pattern calls for knitting with 2 strands of lace weight yarn held together throughout. Each "stitch" refers to a stitch made with 2 strands. When pattern calls for a color change, replace one of the strands with a different color, and continue to knit with 2 strands held together. The slip stitching eases the stripe transitions so there's no"jogless joins" needed here. Tip: To avoid having to weave in al those ends when you're finished knitting, knit them in as you go. Note: You might notice that in the photo the ribbing for the socks is different from the pattern. I knit the socks in the photo with a $\mathrm{kl}/\mathrm{p}3$ ribbing. But the ribbing rolls under so I've changed the ribbing to a simple $\mathrm{kl/p1}$ for this pattern. Also, the patte’s striping sequence is different from the striping in the photo. To see the paten’s sequence, take a look at the socks knit in Sock Madness 2008. But feel free to experiment! Use as many colors as you like and change them out as often as you feel like it. This pattern could be a great stash buster for your lace leftovers. This simple pattern can be worked also with 1 strand of fingering or sock yarn throughout.
