Slumberjacks
by Julie Smutzer (Ravelry = knittly) This worsted weight bed sock in adult sizing will make a nice convalescing, nursing home, or hospice gift. The ribbing gives it plenty of stretch to accommodate various widths and provide a snug fit.

Gauge: 6 stitches per inch (2.54 cm) in very slightly stretched K2P1 ribbing (about 7 stitches per inch, unstretched). This is a very stretchy sock since rib is worked all around the foot so length of sock is probably more important.
Abbreviations:
SSK - slip, slip, knit (slipping as if to knit) K2tog / P2tog - knit 2 stitches together / purl 2 stitches together sl - in this pattern, slip as if to purl wyif - with yarn in front wyib -with yarn in back Notes: Worked from the cuff down. Skill level: Intermediate. Experience with DPN sock knitting is advised.
Materials:
\* 140 - 200 yards (approximate) of worsted weight, machine washable and dryer safe yarn. (l used Lion Brand Wool Ease.) \* Four size 6 (4 mm) DPNs \* tapestry needle
