Ribbed Hand Warmers
By DorianHellfire

Introduction
With the weather getting cooler and cooler, I've been on a yarn kick and have been knitting and crocheting a lot. So this is my version dor a set of ribber hanuvarmers that can be modified to be arm warmers too. This is a super simple pattern for anyone who's a beginner at knitting and using DPNs. This is also a great thing to make for friends and loved ones as gifts or for charity. SiZeS : Ladies xsmall/small(2.5"), smal/medium (3") and medium/larg(3.5"). To figure out the correct size, measure from the space between your thumb and palm to the other size of your palm.Photo about depicts a size small/ medium. To make these for smaller or larger palms, measure just like how you see in the picture below and either subtract or add 4 sts for every 1/2". Since this is a ribbed project, round down to the nearest 1/2" and your warmers will bethe snug side.

Materials:
Worst weight yarn (you don't reed too much for hand warmers but if you want arm warmers, be sure to have enough) set of 5 Size US 8 DPNs
Terms
K - knit P -purl .CO - cast on BO -bind off DPNs- double pointed needles
Instructions
1. CO 28 (xs/s),32 (S/m), 36 (m/l) sts, evenly distributing 7(xs/s), 8(s/m),9(m/) stitches onto 4 of the 5 dpns. Make sure you have a tail (I keep mine at about 2") so you can follow when each round is done. 2. Round 1: p 3. Round 2:begin k2,p2 rib pattern and work in this way until piece is about 3" long. 4. Begin thumb hole by turning piece around and work piece back and forth, not joining the rounds for about 1-1.5". 5 。 When you have the right length for your thumb, rejoin the rounds and continue rib pattern for another 3". For arm warmers, measure from the space between thumb and palm to before the bend of your inner elbow to get the appropriate measurement for your personal fit. For me, that's 11". 6. Once you have worked your piece to the length you want, work the lst rould in p and then BO p wise. Weave in ends and your done!
For armwarmers
Begin the same way you o the handwarmers but work in rib pattern until you get 10" (xs/s), 11" (s/m), 12" (m/l) before you work in the opening for the thumb and continue from there like the hand warmers.
