Hello, this is IM4MAN and one of my favorite projects, the Trickster Scarf. A tube scarf, knit in the round and in great color stripes. Mainly it's a tube scarf so that you won't see those pesky color-change stripes you get..and due to the double layer, it's really warm and comfortable. It's very easy to make, looks absolutely gorgeous and feels wonderful. It's so easy in fact that I'm uploading the pattern just because I like to have patterns attached to my projects, however simple they might be. Let's get started! You need: yarn: sock/fingering 10 skeins of blue 10 skeins of yellow → I used the yarn Peterle Perle in the colors blue (1152) and yellow (1370). It's just so damn beautiful and the colors just seem to shine under the light →> also, the skein amount may vary, and you can't forget the tassels, I used up over one skein each just for the tassels. In fact, it's been so long since I started this project that I'm not completely sure if I actually used 10 skeins, or more, or less.

You need: needles

one circular needle size 2,0 mm one sewing needle to sew shut the ends IM4MAN Designs: Trickster Scarf whatever you like to use to make tassels You need: techniques stockinette in the round tassels a tiny bit of sewing 3. Instructions

Scarf:

Cast on 244 stitches in blue. Knit stockinette for 5 centimeters. Switch to yellow. Knit stockinette for 5 centimeters. And that is all there is to it, now you just need to repeat the stripe pattern as often as you want. I did 40 stripes which makes my scarf 2 meters long. Cast off. Now, about weaving in...I did that for the first stripes but then stopped bothering. It's a tube scarf, so the ends are on the inside and no one will ever see them. I just tied the yellow and blue strands -that result when you change colors- together tightly and it works perfectly fine. If you want to weave in the ends, it's going to be a lot of work. Now, just sew the ends of the tube together so that you have the rectangular shape.

Tassels:

I alternated between yellow and blue, and my tassels are - when stretched - 19 centimeters long (I wrapped the yarn around a dvd case for that size). Each side has 17 tassels of each color. And you're done! This scarf took me forever - mainly because I kept starting new projects in the mean time, but also because it seemed like a lot to do and since the yarn is very fine, it takes a while to knit and your progress seems very slow. But once you have done the first few stripes, it really keeps you going. So, when you think you're in a slump, just carry on, it will get better, you will be quicker and it will so Worth it. Also, I love this yarn. So much, that I bought nearly all skeins when my regular store chose to discontinue selling them. The colors just seem to pop, and they're amazing. If you're interested in more projects in this color scheme, feel free to check out my gallery where you'll find Trickster Gloves, Trickster Gauntlets, a Trickster bag and Trickster wristwarmers. (Also a tie that is knit with different yarns, and when I can upload it in time, a Trickster beanie). The color scheme is named after a minor character in the DC universe who - due to the reboot - may or may not be dead or will never has existed at all.
