Hi, IM4MAN here. A friend asked me if I could make a hat like the one Captain Boomerang wears since his revival after Brightest Day - comic book stuff, but if you're not a fan, you'll love this hat anyway. Jzst leave out the boomerang logo. It's designed so that you have to fold up the brim, and the ribbing makes sure that it's flexible and fits comfortably. IM4MAN Designs: The Captain's Hat 2. Requirements You need: yarn: light 200m of dark blue yarn (or any color you like) bits of white (really, scraps are enough) → I used Schachenmayr nomotta bravo marine 08223 You need: needle: 3.5mm optional: one circular needle (36cm) one set of dpns one sewing/tapestry needle You need: techniques 2x1 ribbing in the round i-cord little bit of sewing 3. Instructions Cast on 120 stitches. Careful not to twist them. Join in the round. Do 2x1 ribbing for 28 cm. Leave a long tail and cut yarn. Now thread the yarn tail through the stitches on the needle and pull tight - if there's still a little hole at the top, sew it shut. If you're doing the little boomerang logo: Take the white yarn, cast on 2 stitches on a dpn and do an i-cord for 4cm. Cast off. Do another one. Sew them on the folded brim. And you're done!
