Materials: Any 4ply worsted weight yarn, I used Red Heart Crochet hook size K $\mathsf{C h}=$ chain ${\sf S c}=$ single crochet $\mathsf{D b l=}$ double crochet Tr- triple crochet Sk $\mathsf{s t}{=}$ skip stitch Foundation: Ch 13, turn Row 1: sc in $2^{n d}$ ch from hook, sc across. Ch 1, turn. 12 sc Row 2 and 3: sc in each stitch across, ch 1 turn. 12 sc Row 4: Button hole row. Sc in $1^{s\dagger}$ 3 spaces, ch 1, sk st, sc in next 4, ch 1, sk st, sc in next 3, ch 1, turn. Row 5: sc in each stitch across, ch 1, turn Row 6: sc in each stitch across, ch 3 (counts as $1^{s\dagger}$ tr in next row), turn. Row 7: skip $1^{s\dagger}$ sc and tr in next 11 sc on previous row. Ch 3, turn Repeat row 7 until piece measures 18 inches. Chain 1, turn. Repeat row 2, 6 times to finish end of collar. At end of $6^{+h}$ row of sc's, ch 1 BUT DO NOT TURN. Working along the top of the collar, sc in the end of each sc row. This should bring you to the $1^{s\dagger}$ tr space. $\star{\sf5}$ sc in tr space, 1 sc in next tr space\* across until you reach the last 6 sc rows. Sc in each of those rows. Sc 3 times at end to form a corner, sc across short end to bottom of collar. Bottom of collar: Row 1: Sc 3 times at end to form the $2^{n d}$ corner which will bring you to thebeginning of the bottom ruffle. Working bottom of collar, sc in each of the next 6 row to $1^{s\dagger}$ tr space. 2 sc in each tr space across bottom edge until you get to the sc rows, sc in each of those rows. Chain 3, turn. Row 2: Sc in $3^{r d}$ sc of previous row, \*ch 3, sk st ,sc in next\* all the way across bottom edge. Ch 1, turn. Row 3: 5 sc's in each ch 3 space across to end, ch 1, turn Row4: $\star_{S C}$ .= $1^{s\dagger}$ sc of previous row, db in the next, tr in next, db in next, sc in next\* (sc, db, tr, db, sc) to form fan. Row 5: \*sc in $1^{s\dagger}$ sc, ch 1, db in next, ch1, tr in next, ch1, db in next, sc in next\* (sc,ch 1, db, ch1, tr, ch 1, db, ch1, sc) across to end. Ch 1, turn. Row6: $\star_{\mathsf{\Omega}_{{\mathsf{S C}}}}$ .= $1^{s\dagger}$ scof previusrow,scinchpace,scintopof db,scinchspace,scintr,scinh 1 space, sc in db, sc in ch 1 space, sc in $s c^{\star}$ across to end, except on the last sc space, do a slip stitch and finish off.

Weave in ends

Attach 3 buttons along opposite end from button hole row. I use one of the chain 3 spaces of bottom edge for the third button hole. Copyright 6/2008
