
Round Robyu's House

inc: increase one st using the lifted increase sl- slip as if to purl, unless otherwise noted k2tog/p2tog- knit/purl 2 stitches together PM- place marker ssk- slip 1 stitch as if to knit, slip another stitch as if to purl. Hemmed Picot Cuff: Using a provisional cast on with waste yarn and 2.25mm needles, cast on 72 sts. Change to regular yarn. You will be kniting circularly.

rounds 1-6: k (remember to PM to mark beginning of round) round 7 (fold line): \*yo, k2tog; repeat from \* to end rounds 8-13: k Remove waste thread and place stitches onto a spare set of needles. Fold at round 7 so purl sides are facing each other (cast on row is in the back). You will now knit one stitch from working needle and one stitch from the spare needle together. Repeat around. Knit one round even. (72 sts) Set-up round for leg: k8, inc 1 st, $\star|\Im$ , inc 1 st; repeat from \* to last 4 sts; ending with k4. (78 sts) Leg: Work rounds 1-22 of lace pattern 3 times. Work rounds 1-2 once more. Set-up row for heel: PM (to indicate beginning of heel). [k2tog, k9, ssk] 3 times. PM (to indicate beginning of instep). Work 39 instep sts in lace patten as established (ie. round 3 of lace pattern). (39 instep sts/33 heel Sts) Heel: wil be worked over 33 sts. Place remaining 39 sts on a holder for instep. Heel flap is worked back and forth. row 1 (right side): knit across. Turn. row 2 (wrong side): slip 1, p across. Turn. row 3: slip 1, $\star|\star|$ , slip 1; repeat from \* to last 2 sts ending with k2. Turn. Repeat rows 2-3 until heel fiap measures 2.5 inches or desired length, ending with row 3.
Turn heel:
row 1 (ws): sl 1, p 19, p2tog, p1, turn row 2: sl 1, k 8, ssk, k1, turn row 3: sl 1, p 9, p2tog, p1, turn row 4: sl 1, k 10, ssk, k1, turn Continue working one more stitch until all the stitches have been worked. You should end on a knit row (21 sts remaining). Do not turn work. Begin gusset. Gusset: Using an extra needle, pick up the "front loop" of each slipped stitch along side of heel. Knit each "picked up" stitch through the back (twisting the stitch) . Place marker for gusset. Knit 39 stitches in lace pattern as established. Place marker for gusset. Using an extra needle, pick up the "front loop" of the same number of stitches along remaining side of heel and knit each "picked up" stitch through the back. Knit 10 stitches and place marker. The beginning of the round is now the middle of the heel flap. round 1 (decrease round): Knit to last 2 stitches before first marker, sk. Knit instep stitches in lace pattern as established to second marker. Slip marker, k2tog. Knit to end of round. round 2: Knit around as established (instep in pattern, sole in stockinette).

Repeat rounds 1-2 until 33 sts remain on sole. (39 instep sts/33 sts sole sts) Foot: Work as established (pattern stitches on instep and stockinette on the sole) until foot measures about 1 1/2" less than desired length, ending on round 2 of lace pattern. If foot is not correct length tobegin toe, continue working as established,repeating only rounds 1-2 of lace pattern ntil foot measures 1 1/2" less than desired length, ending on round 2 of lace pattern. Set-up round for toe: Knit sole sts, slip marker. Knit instep as follows: [k2tog, k9, ssk] 3 times. Slip marker, knit to end of round. (33 instep sts/ 33 sole sts). Remove marker indicating beginning of round. Knit to first marker (to indicate new beginning of round). Knit one round even. Toe: (decreases begin on instep stitches) Decrease Round: Slip marker, k1, ssk, knit across to last 3 stitches before "second" marker, k2tog, k1. Slip marker, k1, ssk, knit across to last 3 stitches before "first" marker, k2tog, k1. Work decrease round once, knit 3 rounds even. [Work decrease round once, knit 2 rounds even] twice. [Work decrease round once, knit 1 round even] 3 times. Work decrease round only until 18 sts remain. Use Kitchener stitch to close toe. Chart for Lace Pattern:
